Controller Selection Guide

GL LED

From wall-mounted dimming to wireless remote control, how to choose the right LED controller for different needs?

The controller is the heart of any low-voltage LED strip lighting system—enabling dimming, color tuning, and customizable zoning. Picking the right LED dimmer or controller can make all the difference in performance and ambiance.

In this guide, we’ll break down the different control options, help you select the best fit for your project, and share pro tips to maximize your lighting effects.

GL Triac Smart Dimmer Switch with Wallplate: Commonly used in residential lighting, suitable for thyristor dimming power supply.

GL 0-10V Smart Dimmer Switch with Wallplate: Widely used in commercial spaces and engineering projects, it adopts wired connection, with stable signal and long life.

LiteRex is a two-in-one dimming + power controller designed for low-voltage LED light strips.

It is compatible with standard wall-mounted junction boxes and can be installed quickly and in one step. It eliminates the complexity of traditional wiring and is a new generation of efficient lighting control solutions.

This SIM wall-mounted dimmer is compatible with US standard junction boxes.

It uses a plexiglass touch panel, which has a stylish appearance, smooth touch, and sensitive operation. It supports both monochrome and RGB versions, suitable for small or simple lighting projects.
Suitable for wall control in areas such as kitchens, cabinets, corridors, display tables, etc.

Using Instruction:

The brightness can only be adjusted in static mode, that is, when the color is fixed. The brightness is full when the dynamic color change program is in progress. Even if the brightness has been lowered in static color, when the dynamic change is clicked, the brightness returns to full brightness. If the color has already been changed dynamically, the brightness cannot be adjusted because the button function at this time is to adjust the speed of the change program. The minimum brightness adjustment is about 30%.

Zone control, flexible and efficient

Each remote control can independently control up to four zones, suitable for spaces that require zoned lighting control, such as retail display areas, exhibition halls, multi-functional areas, etc. No wall wiring is required, flexible settings, and simple operation. The brightness can only be adjusted in static mode, that is, when the color is fixed. The brightness is full when the dynamic color change program is in progress. Each lighting project has its own unique requirements. Choosing the right LED controller not only improves installation efficiency but also enhances the overall lighting experience:

  • Prefer traditional and reliable control? Go with Triac or 0-10V.

  • Want fast and easy installation? Choose LiteRex for a one-step solution.

  • Need something simple and stylish for small spaces? The SIM touch dimmer is ideal.

  • Managing multiple zones without wiring? A wireless remote is your best choice.

Using Instruction(RT9):

The brightness can only be adjusted in static mode, that is, when the color is fixed. After adjusting the brightness, you can press the dynamic mode button again, and the dynamic color change program will change at the current brightness. If the brightness is adjusted to the lowest, the dynamic color change will be slightly higher than the lowest brightness. If the color has already changed dynamically, the brightness cannot be adjusted anymore, because the button function at this time is to adjust the speed of the change program. The lowest brightness adjustment is about 30%.

Designed for use with the DMX RGBW Decoder or DMX dimmable driver(sold separately), this controller fits in standard wall switch boxes and provides on/off control as well as fixed levels of light intensity. This RGB controller has a color-selection wheel for thousands of color options,  0-100% dimming, on/off controls, and 4 color-specific channel controls for red, green, blue, and white. Adjust color, brightness, speed for 3 zones. No flickering. There are two connection ways. First one is DMX controller, DMX decoder and non dimmable power supply. Second one is DMX controller and DMX dimmable driver.

Using Instruction:

The brightness can be adjusted in both static and dynamic modes, and the buttons for adjusting brightness and speed are separate.
The lowest brightness adjustment is about 10-20%
