Q&A
Do I need a high voltage or a low voltage LED strip light?
The main difference between high voltage LED strip lights and low voltage LED strip lights is the voltage they operate at.
High voltage LED strip lights operate at 110-220V AC, which is the standard voltage used in most homes and buildings. These types of LED strip lights are typically easier to install as they do not require a separate transformer or power supply. High voltage strip lights can be a better option when long distance lighting is a priority.
Low voltage LED strip lights operate at 12V or 24V DC and require a separate transformer or power supply to operate. These types of LED strip lights are typically safer to handle and may be easier to customize and install in certain situations. Low voltage strip lights can be a better option when flexibility is a priority.
